Balancing Barn England by MVRDV in Suffolk

The Balancing Barn is one of the winners who received the red dot design award, one of the most prestigious competitions in the world of design. The official award ceremony will take place at the Aalto Theatre in Essen, Germany on 4 July 2011.

Balancing Barn is situated on a beautiful site by a small lake in the English countryside near Thorington in Suffolk. The Barn responds through its architecture and engineering to the site condition and natural setting. The traditional barn shape and reflective metal sheeting take their references from the local building vernacular. In this sense the Balancing Barn aims to live up to its educational goal in re-evaluating the countryside and making modern architecture accessible. Additionally, it is both a restful and exciting holiday home. NIK Building 2 Austria Architecture, NIK Building by Ate­lier Thomas Pucher & Alfred Bram­berger

Located in Graz Austria, building with modern architecture that is built through the development process conversional which took shape during the period of time. While the architectural style (as well as building the desired density) changes, the layout of the site remains stable constant. Because the density grows in the surrounding area, the requirements of a building on a site that should be adjusted from time to time. Today heterogeneous urbanistic situation requires space on one side of the boundary-to Nikolaiplatz , and form a significant free-standing on the other side-against Entenplatz. Because the requirements of urban planning is very complex, technical and economical we design a building, the quiet and less, but at the same time solitaire aesthetics dominate. Tel Aviv House in Israel Residence
