Architecture firm Line and Space, has been selected as the 2011 Architectural Firm of the Year by the Arizona Chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIA). This award is given from the state through the selection of a jury consisting of architects for the company that has produced architectural distinguished for more than ten years and have made significant contributions to the profession and society.

Having received over 90 awards, Line and Space’s commitment to ecological stewardship and resource conservation has positioned them as leaders in creating inspiring and responsive environmental design. Attracting clients as far away as China, the firm is currently working on commissions in Kunming, Qinzhou, and Shenzhen. At first it was a masonic lodge that has been in the blank, is a very interesting project. Building roof structure includes a beam running together, which I have just seen in the buildings in Chicago ( engineering achievement enough in time ). The loft units were filled immediately after finishing construction and have remained full, which makes us happy.

“We worked hard to maintain the original character of the building and keep the space a true loft like those seen in New York or Chicago. Each element adds history to the space and maintaining the integrity of old staircases, brick, and trim is important to us. We’ve even found (and kept) signatures on the walls belonging to the original trade-smiths who labored on the building. Uniopt Pachleitner Group is an eye-wear and jewelery company. Nicknamed the black panther, the structure acts as headquarters to eyewear and jewelry company ‘uniopt pachleitner group’. Their new headquarters in Graz, Austria was designed by GS Architects and has a futuristic appearance. The sleek and sculptural volume features sharp edges and imposing angles that were designed to coincide with the aesthetics and products generated by the accessory brand. a reflective black skin clads the exterior structure which is pierced with jagged openings and windows. standing six storeys tall, the building looks to create an iconic landmark that starkly contrasts it surrounding environment.
