Dune is a modular outdoor furniture collection created by designer Rainer Mutsch Austria for the Austrian manufacturer of Eternit concrete products. The recyclable composite is more normally used in the construction industry, and is made from natural materials including cellulose fibres. Called Dune, the seats comprise loops of the material and can be used as individual pieces or a modular system. The history of the material and technical potential is part of the attraction of this furniture. The fibercement is a very stable structure by the load-bearing capacity for demanding requirement profile for public spaces. The form of all 5 elements of Dune now allows users to move freely on the object and to choose the seating position of each according to his individual taste. This flexibility guarantees maximum comfort on the one hand for the individual and on the other hand facilitate the communication when the elements are arranged in groups.
