House Design Oriented in Two Directions 01 House Design Oriented in Two Directions by Parsonson Architects

The house is oriented in two directions, east to the harbor and the hills beyond and west into the afternoon sun. Designed by Parsonson Architects to sit high enough to ignore the Wellington Harbour, New Zeeland. From the road the house peers austerely over the protective courtyard wall, while the inside spaces feel very open and connected to the outside. Patterns of surface materials are loosely influenced by the tapestry of land viewed from the sky.

This house in Maui, Hawaii is one of the houses. It has a large open plan indoor areas where the regions are connected to the outside as much as possible. Tropical climate is one of the factors that attract people who want to have their dream home. This home consists of five separate buildings, connected by way of a closed area and open courtyard wraps. Swimming pool in the courtyard and many smaller canals allow water to hear the sound of water flowing from the outside terrace or patio that can be found anywhere on the site.
