Pan American Games Pavilion Toronto

Pan American Games is located in rural areas precisely at the Toronto waterfront and planned to be held on 10 July 2015. The building is planned to be functioned as the central hub of sports, celebrations and international friendship. Semi-permanent structures will function as a multi-purpose platform for the Olympics and should remain flexible for future use after the Games, such as open-air theater, a stage musical and social gathering place. In developing an efficient and creative facilities designed, the Pavilion will become an icon for Toronto and the Olympics.

Stoke Newington House in London with White Interior Design

This house was made for an actress and musician carefully between buildings and sitelines slot, and wrap the furniture built-in to every available surface. Both the plan and planning constraints produced a series of complex interwoven space, enlivened by light and interconnectivity. The massing was generated from the view-lines along the High Street below, tucked carefully out of sight to achieve planning permission for a new storey with front outdoor space hidden within the row of listed buildings.

The roof-form deploys a double-pitched butterfly roof, angling upwards from low flank walls to greet the arriving visitor with taller walls at the central stairwell. A crystalline valley skylight hangs above, flooding the void with light. Staggered floor sections carefully borrow space from below. The V-shape in section repeats in plan to ease a tidy outdoor terrace between new and old façades, the doors from hall and bedroom folding neatly together. Read the rest of this entry »

The Great Tower Architecture Of High-density Mixed-use

The tower is a distinct and legible element of the scheme enabling it to beread as a single typology from various angles. The Britannia Music site is located on the western edge of Ilford town centre, within easy walking distance of the railway station, and was formerly used as an office, storage and distribution centre for the Britannia Music Company. The site has street frontage to Ilford Hill to the north, and is adjacent to a grade 2 listed public house. Between the elevated section of the North Circular to the west, and Chapel Road; a busytraffic gyratory and pubic transport interchange to the east, the site is surrounded by a number of existing and proposed taller buildings. The site was designated within the Ilford Town Centre Area Action Plan for major redevelopment and falls within a secondary tall buildings zone, with a landmark tower being identified as appropriate for the corner of Ilford Hill and Chapel Road.
