The Netherlands House Design | Natural Van den Heuvel Residence
“Van den Heuvel Residence” is a house designed by architect Van Rooijen in Leidsche Rijn, Netherlands. The urban history of Leidsche Rijn dates back to the time of the Roman Empire. Today the region is being transformed from a mainly rural area into a new quarter of the city of Utrecht. While the floor is cladded in natural slate colors and seems to float above the wood base. This house is very introverted at the streetside and open to the rear garden with large sliding doors. Secondary buildings adjacent to the house to function as a children’s playroom and storage. Unlike the main building was realized in a black brick with aluminum windows. Both volumes are connected by a glass corridor.
